Environmental Science and Technology and allied areas.

Worked extensively on sugar pressmud composting.
Use of spent wash, a byproduct from Distillary units.
Production of enriched humus ascertaining the quality to enhance
agricultural production.
Worked with M/s. Sri Renuka Sugars Ltd group of companies and Shyamanur
Sugars Limited for design and development of compost facility and its
management.
Projects Handled:
Handled more than projects funded by AICTE, NRCD, GoK, VTU, KSPCB and other
industries with a budget out lay of more than 3.5 Crores.
Publications:
Published more than 75 research papers in reputed and reviewed National
and International Journals.
Presented 50 papers in conferences, seminars and symposiums at National
and International levels.
Travelled Abroad to many countries including USA, Canada, Mauritius, UAE
and Thailand in relation to various academic and technical programmes.
Awards:
Conferred with prestigious NESA Honorary Fellowship Award 2020 for
dedicated contributions in the field of water and waste water
Management, Treatment Recycling Air Water Quality modeling monitoring
and Environmental impact assessment studies.
Recipient of International Science and Engineering (ICSE-2017) Life time
achievement award in 2017.
Recipient of National award for contribution to Engineering education by
Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi – 2010.
Recipient of State Environment award by Govt of Karnataka in 2009
Other roles in Service:
Served as Chairman and member of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC),
Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, Bangalore
Served as a member of Expert Apppraisal Committee (EAC) and SEAC, Govt
of Karnataka and Govt of India from 2007-2017 to evaluate the
developmental projects.
Established Science and Technology study center at BIET, Davanagere.
Served as Special Officer (R&D) at Visvesvaraya Technological
University, Belgaum and also served as Regional Officer, Bangalore
Region, VTU, Belgaum.
Current Role:
Serving as Technical Advisor, Samrakshan Organics
Guiding, mentoring as well as monitoring the overall development of
Research at College, Innovation Startups, Establishment of Atal
Incubation, New Technology Business Incubation, Centre of Excellence in
new and emerging technologies. Activities include monitoring, funding,
mentoring and other supporting facilities at Sahyadri College of
Engineering and Management, Mangaluru and few other institutions.
